Mel Gibson has been nursing a shoulder injury of late and was out and about on Sunday wearing a sling.

Despite his sore arm, the actor appeared in good spirits as he left a coffee meeting in Malibu, California.

The 68-year-old cut a casual figure in a black denim shirt and matching jeans, as well as chic sunglasses.

The American-Australian star was sporting a bushy white beard and elaborate black arm brace.

Mel was also spotted with his arm in the structured sling as he made an appearance at the Unsung Hero screening at Lionsgate in Santa Monica on Wednesday.

The cause of Mel's recent injury is unknown, but the Lethal Weapon star has been injury-prone in recent months due to various filming accidents.

In January, the acting sensation was seen wearing a medical boot while out for dinner with his daughter Lucia in Malibu.

He was spotted using a walking stick as it's believed he had an injury during filming.

Mel cut a casual figure for the dinner outing, pairing grey trousers with a plaid shirt and navy jacket.

Mel, whose girlfriend is 33-year-old screenwriter, Rosalind Ross, was joined for dinner by his daughter, whom he shares with ex-Oksana Grigorieva.

In December 2022, the Braveheart star was seen with his arm in a sling - which sparked rumours that he was in the midst of starring in and directing 2024's Lethal Weapon 5.

Mel was spotted in the sling as he caught up with two of his pals over dinner at Taverna Tony restaurant in Malibu.

The director toted around a light jacket on one arm and also carried his phone and a pair of glasses in his other hand with the sling.

MailOnline previously contacted Mel Gibson's representatives for comment.
